Any vehicle can be used as a weapon commonly referred to as a Hostile Vehicle.

Hostile Vehicle Mitigation/Hostile Vehicle Defence is a specialised sector of the security/defence and engineering industries to protect and mitigate the risk of drivers and vehicles accessing a restricted and/or unauthorised area or location to cause damage to man-made and natural structures and to cause injury and or death to people and incite fear.

 

Drivers of hostile vehicles could include the mentally ill, drug affected, disgruntled customers or employees, activists (political or other), terrorists, criminals and suicides.

 

A driver of a vehicle being used as a weapon will not obey traffic/road rules. Their intent is to make good their objective no matter what may happen.
